Many times people will talk about how a song changed their life or how a song saved them. This song will definitely fit that bill for me. At times of hardship throughout my life, I have opened my Bible and I have listened to this song and I have always felt better after listening. One lyric above all strikes me every time I hear this song: “But good things come to them that wait/Not to those who hesitate/So, hurry up and wait upon the Lord.” This line is just such a wonderful way of communicating Isaiah 40:31, “But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

My Top 10 Christian Songs: #5
5. More Power to Ya by Petra
Petra
is by far and wide my favorite band and to see them on the list of my
favorite Christian songs does not surprise me in the least. In my
opinion, we will be hard pressed to ever find a band as good as Petra
ever again. In their over 30 year history, More Power to Ya stands
out as one of Petra’s masterpieces. Hailing from one of the band’s most
successful periods, this song is one of the most inspirational songs
ever written as evidenced by a multitude of artists who have covered the
song.
